The UNLWordNet2.1 is a lexical database for the Universal Networking Language (UNL). It has been automatically extracted out of the WordNet2.1, whose entries were converted and adapted to the syntax of Universal Words (UWs), according to the techniques described in the methodology. The entire database comprises over than 190,000 entries and includes the most frequent nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs of English.

The  UNLWordNet2.1 is here provided in two different versions: the unabridged (comprising 194,709 entries) and the abridged (34,428 entries). The last one includes only words whose frequency of occurrence in the corpus used by the WordNet2.1 is equal to or larger than 1. Both databases are available to download as a Microsoft Access table (.mdb file).

Although we have tried to accomplish the UNL Specifications during the word formation process, it should be stressed that the resulting set of Universal Words do not coincide with the official one proposed by the UNL Center (which can be downloaded from the UNDL Foundation website) and  involve different standards and understanding of the nature and role of UWs in UNL.
